Raphaelle Muller, a French national was born in Lyon, France in 1970; her father is from the Alsace region, and her mother is of Italian descent.
In September 1975, the whole family moved to Bangkok, Thailand, and then to Playa Azul, Mexico in 1977, Alexandria, Egypt in 1978, returning to France in 1979. Another move in 1983 found them in Moscow, ex-USSR where Raphaelle spent 3 years before returning to France in 1986 to finish her studies. After 8 years in France in1994 she joined her parents in Prague, Czech Republic where they had lived since 1991.
Six months later, in february 1995, she followed her parents to Shanghai, China where she lives today.
A world citizen who speaks English, Spanish, Russian, Czech and Mandarin Chinese.

As a teenager in Russia she created her first pair of earings with a wooden curtain ring. However it was in Shanghai in 2002 that the venture really began. Her inspiration came from her mother who decided at the time to create a jewellery collection for the French market.
At the end of 2002, the first design “Zebulon” (named by her mother) was a bracelet mounted on flexible wire which can be converted into a necklace, made of freshwater chinese pearls and in four beautiful colours; all her friends in Shanghai loved this creation so she decided to go into business.
Her inspiration comes from what is available on the chinese market, the feshwater pearls that she uses in strong colours making her creations more original, more modern. Then she discovered and is fascinated by the black agate, a semi-precious stone. She chooses first of all the stone for its shape and colours and then lets her imagination guide her creations using unusual combination and colours. From then on Raphaelle uses highly coloured semi-precious stones more and more with a distinct preference for turquoise a sacred stone in Egypt, Persia, Tibet, India and in the Maya, Aztec and Inca civilizations. A magic stone symbolizing sky and water, bringing protection and good luck, and warding off negative energy.

Raphaelle’s designs are multi-function: a necklace can be turned into a belt or a bracelet; a bracelet becomes a necklace...
Raphaelle believes jewellery is an accessory which would give the wearer great pleasure; can be worn everyday to complete an outfit and adapt to any situation. Black and white are most elegant classics, whereas colour adds a touch of fantasy.
